Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and StudyWard for using the StudyWard website, web app and mobile apps. By creating an account you agree to them.

A study aid, not medical advice

StudyWard helps you study from your own course material. AI-generated content can be wrong. StudyWard is not medical advice and is not a substitute for your course, textbooks, instructors or clinical judgement. Never use it to make decisions about real patients.

Your account

You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and give accurate details. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. StudyWard is currently offered in the United States.

Your content

• You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give StudyWard permission to store and process it — including with AI services, as described in the Privacy Policy — only to provide the service to you and anyone you share a set with.
• Only upload material you have the right to use, such as your own notes or material your course provides for your study.
• Don't upload real patient identifiers or confidential clinical records.

Recording lectures

Recording happens on your phone. Get permission before recording — many schools and instructors require consent, and some states require the consent of everyone being recorded. Follow your school's recording policy.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse StudyWard: no attempts to break security, overload the service, scrape it, resell it, or use it to cheat on graded or licensing exams. We may limit or suspend accounts that do.

Plans and billing

• Free includes a monthly allowance of study sets and features, shown on the pricing page and in the app.
• Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly, with any free trial shown before you subscribe. It renews automatically until you cancel.
• Subscriptions bought in the App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded by that store and cancelled in your store settings. Web subscriptions are cancelled from Plans & Billing.
• When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for; your sets stay available on Free.
• Prices can change; we'll tell you before a change affects your subscription.

Changes and availability

We're improving StudyWard all the time and may change or remove features. We'll give notice of material changes to these terms. We aim to keep StudyWard available but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings; it is permanently removed after a 30-day grace period.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, StudyWard is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
